Developing artistry with a passion for education.
Hello and welcome to my studio. I am a singer and voice teacher based out of Madison, Wisconsin. Teaching singers is my passion, which is why I attended Belmont University for my Master of Music degree in voice pedagogy. Currently, I am studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in pursuit of a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in voice performance. My teaching experience spans all age groups and voice types. My education has emphasized a holistic understanding of the voice bridging the gap between voice science and art. I have studied voice disorders, treatment, and habilitation under the physicians and speech language pathologists of the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center. I also hold a certificate in Vocology from my time studying with the voice scientists of the National Center for Voice and Speech as well as the Utah Center for Vocology.
My voice pedagogy is student oriented, meaning that I am here to serve the goals of the student. I have successfully taught students with diverse singing goals. From the parents looking for music lessons for a child to the professional singer, and anyone in between; I believe that I can help guide anyone towards taking the steps to becoming the singer that they want to be.
